CATTLE SECTION
The Holsteins will again be the All Australian Feature Show. Exhibitors will be competing for the Joe Calcraft Memorial Trophy for Most Successful Breeder, Kindly donated by the Calcraft Family.
The other breeds; Illawarra, Brown Swiss, Jersey, Guernsey and Ayrshire will compete against each other in the Coloured Breeds Section and each breed will have a Champion. This format worked well last year and was an outstanding display.
Dairy Cattle judging commences on Friday 8th February, 2019 at 9.30am.
In the Beef Section, we have added two classes for Commercial Steer or Heifer. These classes are for unregistered Beef Cattle. They will be competing for the Keith Turner Memorial Trophy for Champion Commercial Steer or Heifer, kindly donated by the Turner Family.
Once again the registered section will compete together in their classes but will be divided into European and British Breeds for the Championships. It is worth noting that there is no entry fee in the Beef Section.
Beef Judging commences Saturday 9th February, 2019 at 9.30am.
We again will be having the Nowra Show on-farm competition that is supported by the Boyd Family with a magnificent 1st Prize of two night’s accommodation in Sydney. This year the On-Farm competition is open to both unregistered and registered cattle of all dairy breeds. Entries for On-Farm close with Steve King on 25th February, 2019.
