Entry into the show on Friday during school hours (in school uniform) is FREE
Nowra Show’s mission is to educate, promote and showcase agriculture, horticulture, and industry within the Shoalhaven.
Something for all students from kinder to Year 12.
CATTLE – Showing of the Shoalhaven best Dairy Cattle; Milking Demonstrations; Sample of flavoured milk for the children.
HORSES – Show Jumping; Showing of horses in the main arena.
POULTRY – Poultry display, Children have opportunity to see get up close to some chickens and ducks.
PAVILION – Art, (Shoalhaven art competition), photography, fruit & vegetables, woodwork, craft, needle work, cooking, plants, flowers, Lego and much, much more.
WOODCHOP – Woodchop demonstration.
GOATS – Miniature goats on display.
ALPACAS – Pat an alpaca.
THE KIDS ZONE – Dig for potatoes; Painting on the fence; Face masks; And lots more fun activities.
THE EXHIBITION MARQUEE – Cooking demonstrations with the ladies from CWA; Nowra Spinners and Weavers; Other community groups
Showman’s Guild Area – Rides – Showbag
THE ADDED AREA – Tractors; Cars; Log truck; Fire Engine; Vintage Machinery; Vintage racing cars.
Industry Display on Added Area – Helicopter; Helicopter flight simulator – Navy Radar and radio intelligence simulators (Electronic Warfare) – Mellori; Shelters (tents and expandable shipping containers) equipment and trade careers – GDS; Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (tethered) – Shoalhaven Defence Industry Group (SDIG); Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) – Lockheed Martin / Sikorsky; STEM – BAE Systems; Aircraft engineering careers & display – Air Affairs; Young Professionals – Shoalhaven Professional Business Association; Industry &Commerce – Shoalhaven Business Chamber; Shoalhaven City Council.
Plane Simple – Presentation of awards for Plane Simple for High School and Tertiary Students (competition was held on 5th December 2019). Demonstrations with award winning paper planes; Paper plane making and flying; Primary & infant school paper plane flying competition.
Animal Nursery – Cattle, sheep, lambs, calves, ducks, chickens, pigs, puppies, yabbies, etc.; Charlie the Braham Ridden Steer – Come and give Charlie a pat and meet his friend Bill the Buffalo.
